'Loveshack' group fail to recreate old magic

IT'S been 16 years since the B-52s were last in the charts.
And in that time Loveshack has become one of the classic 80s tracks that everyone, everywhere has come to know and love.
So it's no wonder that the group has tried to recreate that successful sound for their latest album Funplex.
But the tracks just fail to live up to the brilliance of Loveshack.
Undeniably the same band who created that 'masterpiece' way back when, the group still have the same unique sound, but have failed to create any song to make a lasting impression.
Samey tracks fill an album that could have been great - but sounds more like a 1980s remix cd.
But while the new album cant quite compare with the magic of Loveshack.
