BEAUTIFUL baking was on display as a Northumberland care home hosted a cupcake competition.

The event took place at Avala Park in Widdrington Station to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Residents, staff and members of the local community were all invited to play their part and showcased their carefully crafted and delicately decorated cupcakes.

There was also a raffle for a Macmillan cupcake bouquet.

The competition was organised as part of an initiative by the home’s owner HC-One to strengthen links between residents and the community.
