Footpaths are priority

FOOTPATH improvements to Lancaster Park are the top highways priority for Morpeth councillors.

Members have put forward a case for a survey of the pavements and remedial measures to be taken on the estate and at Leslies View as their main concern in the Local Transport Plan programme.

The council will also request an extension of yellow lines at Curly Kews to prevent obstruction.

The issues, identified by the town council’s Planning and Transport Committee, have been forwarded to Northumberland County Council for consideration.
