Highways improvements

PRIORITY measures to improve Pegswood’s highways have been submitted by local councillors.

Northumberland County Council is asking village and town local authorities to let it know the top three schemes that they would like its workers to carry out during the 2013/14 financial year.

And the number one response from Pegswood Parish Council is a call for improved lighting on Longhirst Road, outside the first school.

The other two are parking restrictions on Front Street, opposite the Co-op, and the creation of a footpath along the B1337 (Whorral Bank to Longhirst).
