Boy in the checked trousers is named
Images of Yesteryear KEVI pupils held a fund-raising disco in January 1987 as you can probably tell by the fashion!
ANOTHER name has been put to the young faces at this fund-raising disco.
The picture, first featured in our Images of Yesteryear section in January, showed pupils from King Edward VI School at an event in the youth centre in 1987.
Former community tutor Alex Robinson, who ran Morpeth Youth Association, contacted the Herald to tell of his work in the centre, which was created by pupils in an old canteen, but while he recognised everyone in the photograph he could not remember their names.
However, earlier this month, the mother of one of the students came forward to identify four of the 11 as Catherine Mather, second left, Samantha Lemmon, third left, Lisa Cunningham, fourth left, and Lisa Hammond, fifth right, who became Head Girl.
Now another name has been put to the line-up after a former neighbour identified Stephen Davidson, second right, by his distinctive checked trousers.
