Thanks, the help was much appreciated

A MORPETH community group has said its own special thank-you to one of the town’s businesses.
Morpeth Lions Club has presented the local Marks and Spencer store with a Certificate of Appreciation for its support during the autumn flood and assistance with Christmas food parcels.
Lions President Simon Pringle, who handed the certificate to store Manager Rosarie Noon, said: “Following the September floods in town, your company immediately made a most generous offer to supply food and clothing if necessary to those affected.
“Fortunately, the damage was not on the scale of 2008. However, all those receiving the foodstuffs made up by your staff were most appreciative.
“You also gave the Lions Club assistance by providing some of the food for the 200 Christmas parcels we recently delivered.
“It is therefore my great pleasure to present you with this framed Certificate of Appreciation.”
Ms Noon said: “As a company we would always hope to support our community in times of need. We appreciate the certificate acknowledging this.”
