VILLAGERS will be given the chance to quiz council environment officials as invitations are issued to a parish meeting.

Widdrington Station and Stobswood Parish Council will invite the county’s dog warden and recycling officer to a future meeting to discuss local issues.

There have been several complaints about dog fouling in the community, while Coun Shelly Willoughby said there had been a request for glass recycling facilities in the local Ferneybeds estate.

Members are also considering requesting a recycling site beside Widdrington Community Centre.
