Voices from the past at Ponteland society meeting

VOICES of Northumberland is the subject of Ponteland Civic Society’s meeting on Monday.

Dr Liz O’Donnell’s talk will include examples of recordings that have been made for the County Record Office at Woodhorn.

Some have been researched from the archives and date back to the 1970s and others which are more recent have been obtained with Lottery funding. There will be some examples from Ponteland.

Following the talk there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.

The event is being held in St Mary’s Church Hall in Thornhill Road, from 7.30pm. Non-members are welcome to attend a nominal charge of £2.
