COUNTY residents once again have the opportunity to walk the Northumberland Coast Path this summer with its originator, Iain Robson.
Each Wednesday between this Wednesday (July 27) and August 31, he will lead a walk along a section of the route in the company of a coastal expert such as a botanist, geologist, ranger or bird watcher.
The start time for them coincides with the arrival of a bus and walkers will return to the starting point by bus. This Wednesday, meet at Cresswell Ices at 9.45am – this coincides with the arrival of the No. 1 service from Ashington – and walk 10.5 miles to Warkworth, which will take about five hours.
The others in the series are: Warkworth to Craster, Craster to Seahouses, Seahouses to Belford, Belford to Fenwick, Fenwick to Berwick. You can do one section up to all of them.
The walks are all free, but you will need your bus fare. For further information or to book your place, which is essential, telephone 01665 511206 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
