Euro date for local snappers

PHOTOGRAPHERS can have their work featured in a European exhibition if they enter a new competition.

In partnership with the European Network for Rural Development, the Northumberland Coast and Lowlands LEADER Local Action Group is holding the contest with an ‘Images of Rural Europe’ theme.

Organisers are looking for original images taken in the last 12 months which best illustrate the countryside and they can include those of people, animals, buildings and the landscape.

All photos will be considered for inclusion in a major EU ‘Travelling Exhibition’ during 2012/13. This will include some of the short-listed pictures in each category as well as the winners. From the Northumberland selection, 12 images will be chosen for a 2013 LEADER calendar.

The competition is free to enter and entries should be sent in digital format. The closing date is Friday, May 18. To have your photo considered, contact the Northumberland Coast and Lowlands LEADER Co-ordinator Ivan Hewitt by telephone on 01670 863007 or email enquiries@leadercoastandlowlands.org.uk
