JUST two people remain to be identified in this Images of Yesteryear picture after another name was put to one of the faces.

The photograph shows the opening of the Chapman Gallery at King Edward VI School (KEVI) in December 1986 and first appeared in our nostalgia series on December 22 last year.

Former Design and Technology teacher Ken Moore contacted us to let us know who some of the people pictured are, and former Northumberland County Council officer Chris Offord later added another name to the line-up.

Now Vic Brown has been in touch to say the woman in the centre of the group is Mrs Chapman, one of the most popular teachers at the Girls’ School.

Only the woman pictured far left and the man fifth from left are yet to be named.

The rest of the guests, pictured left to right, are as follows: former Chairman of the Parents’ Association Jimmy Purvis, former Head of Design and Technology Trevor Downing, former Girls’ School teacher Mrs Chapman, former Headteacher Michael Duffy, one of his predecessors George Chapman, and former teacher Ken Moore.
