YOUNGSTERS from Morpeth have enjoyed an adventure in the capital after taking a trip to London.
Members of the 2nd Morpeth Guides spent a weekend exploring the city and taking in its many tourist sights.
The group travelled by train, some making their first ever rail journey, and arrived in time for a walking tour, followed by a visit to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, where they saw lots of weird and wonderful exhibits.
The following day saw the older members head for the shops of Covent Garden, while the younger girls embarked on a river cruise, followed by a trip on an open top bus.
One of the highlights of the break was a photo opportunity on the steps of Number 10 Downing Street, but unfortunately the Prime Minister was not at home.
The trip was rounded off with Sunday lunch at The Rainforest Cafe.
The Guides are already planning their next trip.
