MORPETH walkers will tackle an eight-mile trail on Sunday.
The Morpeth Footpaths Society is taking on the Windy Gyle walk along the Coquet Valley.
The walk is described as strenuous and will pass Middle Hill and Hazely Law, ascend towards Border Ridge towards Windy Gyle, descend past Scotchman’s Ford and Trows Law, following the Rowhope Burn to the car park.
It will be led by Tom and Val Lisgo and is expected to take five hours. Participants are warned that it may be boggy.
The walk begins at 10.30am and people should meet at the car park past the Barrowburn Tea Room.
