PONTELAND will once again go quackers for a range of good causes.

The annual Rotary Club of Ponteland Duck Races, which this year has a Diamond Jubilee theme, will be held on Sunday afternoon.

There will be fun for all the family on land too, with attractions including pony rides, a bouncy slide, fairground organ and children’s games. There will also be refreshments and displays.

The event takes place in Ponteland Park between 1.30pm and 4pm – the first race starts at 2.15pm. All proceeds go to local and international Rotary charities.

Race tickets are available on the day or beforehand from Mackley & Steven Optometrists, Main Street.
