A COUNTRYSIDE mansion is opening its gates for charity.
Cheeseburn Grange near Stamfordham will open on Sunday, from 10am to 4pm, to raise funds for Maggie’s Centre in Newcastle, which provides support for people with cancer.
There are eight acres of gardens, a woodland walk and the Chapel of St Francis Xavier. Homemade teas will be available, along with plant, cake and produce stalls. Dogs are permitted on leads and there is limited wheelchair access.
Entry costs £4 for adults.
