Panto time, oh yes it is

PEGSWOOD residents are invited to play their part in a new village pantomime.

The fun play has been written specifically for local residents and organisers are looking for actors, musicians and volunteers to help out in areas such as scenery, sound and lighting in order to make it a very memorable community event.

Maid Marian of Pegswood features characters such as Dame Ursula of Ulgham, Baron Aad Gadgie of Bothal, Friar Tuck-in and Sir Simon de Cowl, judge of the Pegswood’s Got The X Factor competition set up by the chief baddie – the Sheriff of Morpeth.

A meeting to find out more has been arranged for Thursday, September 20 at the Pegswood Community Hub (formerly Project) on Longhirst Road, starting at 6.30pm.

An invitation has also been sent out to clubs, groups and organisations in Pegswood to send a representative to the event.

Maid Marian of Pegswood is planned for Friday, February 15, 2013, in the evening and Saturday, February 16 with both an afternoon performance and an evening show.
