PLANT lovers are in for a treat with the first North East Hardy Plant Society sale on Saturday.
Members of the group have been busy growing plants and are now ready with a large selection of interesting and unusual specimens to offer to the public.
Chairman Heather Russell and her plant sale team have been the driving force in arranging the event.
She has also been busy in her own garden at Bolam, which was recently featured on BBC Gardeners’ World, and a tour of her garden will be a raffle prize, followed by tea and scones.
The event runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Stannington Village Hall.
Entry to the plant sale is £1, free for children and members of society.
