Talking Heads to be recreated on stage

Whalton’s Library Theatre Group is to perform pieces from Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads series.

A selection of pieces by the renowned playwright is to be recreated by the amateur dramatics group at Whalton Village Hall tomorrow from 7.30pm.

The two series of dramatic monologues were originally screened on BBC1 in 1988 and 1998.

They went on to be broadcast on radio too and performed on stage, as well as being included in A-level and GCSE syllabuses.

Whalton’s thespians at will be following in the footsteps of Patricia Routledge, Maggie Smith and Julie Walters, three of the stars of the TV series.
