Time for giving to school

PEOPLE of all ages got into the festive spirit to support a Morpeth school’s fundraiser at the Town Hall.
The All Saints’ First School Christmas Fair, organised by its PTA, the Friends of Morpeth All Saints (FOMAS), featured a range of attractions, such as a visit from Santa, a golden cracker lucky dip, a second-hand toy sale and a name-the-teddy contest. Jewellery, candles, crafts, soaps and puddings were among the many items available to purchase.
There was also a raffle, with those donating prizes including the Morpeth branch of Morrisons, Pizza Express, Michelle Fowler Photography, Whitehouse Farm Centre, The Alnwick Garden, Namco Funscape, Wet ’N’ Wild and stall-holders.
About £300 was raised for the school.
FOMAS Secretary Tess Patterson said: “The event went very well. We had decent numbers of people coming along throughout the day and many children came to see Santa.
“Our thanks go to the teachers who helped us by running the toy sale, which was very popular.
“The raffle was well supported and we’re grateful all to the businesses and traders that donated a prize.”
