CRAFTY carpenters and master metal workers are being enlisted to help a North East charity.
REMAP, which designs and constructs free aids and adaptations for disabled adults and children in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, is looking to recruit more volunteers to join its team of skilled craftsmen and women.
Volunteers should have an interest in engineering with wood, metal or plastic and expenses for materials and travel will be reimbursed.
REMAP Chairman Madeleine Elliott said: “It is amazing to see how such a relatively small investment in time and effort from our dedicated engineers can transform the long-term quality of life and well-being of individuals and their families.”
