SIXTEEN members of Pegswood with Bothal WI attended at St Margaret’s Church Hall for the June 7 meeting.
The speaker for the night, Mr Trevor Waddleton, was welcomed by President Mrs Nancy Fowlie.
The theme of the talk was Wills with Humour and it was a very interesting and amusing talk, giving an insight into how wills are written, some of the bizarre ways that money is left to people and animals and also a reminder of how important it is to make a will. All members enjoyed the talk.
After tea and biscuits, the business of the day was discussed. The trip to Bamburgh was a great success – members visited the Grace Darling Museum, then had tea at Bamburgh WI.
The weather was kind as the day was very warm and sunny.
The competition for a key ring was won by Mrs Eva Kinghorn. The raffle was won by Mrs Alice Herdman.
The next meeting will take place in the hall on July 5 from 7pm.
