A blooming big weekend for Morpeth

A BLOOM bonanza is taking place in Morpeth this weekend in a Bin It To Win It blitz.
The fun-filled event, co-ordinated by Morpeth Town Council, will be held at Storey Park Community Centre to show off the area's 'green' credentials and spread the 'reduce, re-use, recycle' message.

It is hoped the activities will show Northumbria and Britain in Bloom judges the environmentally-friendly side of Morpeth as it firms up its bid for the Best Town title.

Town Council Deputy Clerk Angela Logan said: "The idea is to have a fun day, but get the message across about recycling and encourage people to make the town look better.
