The audience will be invited to enter into the spirit of the event when a magical performance of Sleeping Beauty is staged at Linden Hall, near Longhorsley, on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Chapter House Theatre Company is inviting everyone to come along in fancy dress - and join in a parade during the show, which begins at 2pm.

'Sleeping Beauty' follows the adventures of Louisa and her friends who, evacuated to the countryside during the Second World War, find fun and song in enacting this wonderful story.

The result is a splendid piece of story telling in a style that comes close to the Famous Five whilst still celebrating the original fairytale romance.

This show is just long enough for the children to enjoy at around one and a half hours and includes a fairytale fancy dress parade during the interval with members of the cast.

Tickets and information from MacDonald Linden Hall Hotel (01670 500000, or Morpeth Tourist Information Centre (01670 500700).

The grounds will be open for picnics from 1pm and the audience are being invited to bring their own rugs or low-backed seating.
