VILLAGERS' flooding worries will be put to experts at a meeting early in the new year.
Complaints have come from residents in Widdrington Station that gardens and pavements in Grange Court are often swamped in wet weather.

The pensioners fear the water may run into their homes if there is a particular bad spell and they have demanded action to address the problem.

Parish councillors say the land belongs to Castle Morpeth Housing, but they have agreed to hold a meeting with representatives from Northumbrian Water to see if anything can be done.

A report will be presented to the monthly parish meeting about the outcome and recommendations may be passed on to the landlord.

Northumberland County Council is also investigating the issue.
