STAR student Mel Xu has hit a high five with a string of top A-Level grades.
The Darras Hall resident is one of 16 pupils at Dame Allan’s Schools to celebrate straight-A passes after gaining top grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, English and General Studies.
School Principal Dr John Hind said: “This is a remarkable achievement and we wish Mel every success in her continuing career.
“It is important to recognise the hard work and commitment the students and staff show and to remember there are individual young men and women behind the bald statistics used in A-level analyses and debates.”
Mel will now go on to study Maths at St Hilda’s College, Oxford.
