KEEN crafters have celebrated the third anniversary of their group.
Members of the Heighley Gate Nursery and Garden Centre Craft and Coffee Club marked the occasion with a cake cutting. There is currently a display of members’ work in the garden centre, with each person contributing a piece.
Heighley Gate Events Co-ordinator Sarah Tait said: “The informal meetings are very sociable affairs and are fun for all, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter.
“The sessions are a great opportunity to develop a new skill, or swap ideas or tips with others.
“There is always something new to learn from crafters in the group and this often sparks creativity. People leave with fresh ideas and new techniques to try.”
Participants need to take their own basic equipment and can join in with craft activities on the day, or take their own pieces to work on.
The club meets on the first and third Sunday of the month, from 9.30am. Tickets cost £3 and include refreshments. There will also be ten percent off full price products in the Craft Department on the day of the workshops.
