A delicious way to help good cause

SOME tasty treats helped to raise funds for a Morpeth-based county charity.

A cake bake was held at the Virgin Money Store in Bridge Street and staff and customers purchased many of the home-made Victoria sandwich slices, sticky buns, crispy cakes and traybakes on offer.

It raised £160 for the Northumberland County Blind Association and match funding will be provided by the Northern Rock Foundation. The money will go towards the organisation’s support services for blind and partially sighted people in the county.
