The 4th Morpeth Scout Group is once again providing its useful Christmas post service.

Cards to friends and relatives can be posted at various locations for the sum of 25p each and they will then be stamped, sorted and delivered by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to any address within the town and surrounding estates, as well as Hepscott, Mitford and Fairmoor.

The collection boxes for them are in place at the Morpeth branches of Morrisons, Costa Coffee and Barclays, Treacle Wool Shop in Chantry Place, the Sainsbury’s Local in Stobhill and the Health Hut pharmacy in Kirkhill.

Secretary of the 4th Morpeth Scout Group, Beth Stuart-Cole, said: “The money raised from the service will help fund scouting activities for our young members.”

The service will run until noon on Wednesday, December 23.
