Pegswood Primary School pupils are enjoying a range of new playground markings.

This follows a successful grant application to Pegswood Parish Council for the majority of the funds.

The features in the areas for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 and reception include a times table square, target game, alphabet snake and Mirror Me circles.

The parish council has previously supported other applications from the school, such as a funding bid for scooter racks to be installed.

Headteacher Andrew Waterfield said: “Pupils are really enjoying the new markings.

“They are also being used during lesson time because they have an educational value and they are an excellent addition to our outdoor provision, which includes a forest school and bird hide.

Parish council chairman Paul Williams added: “We support everything the school does and after receiving an excellent application, we were more than happy to provide funding for these fantastic features.”
