KIRKLEY WI

Kirkley WI held its AGM on Wednesday, October 3. Members were joined by WI Advisor Joanne Patrick.

Officers’ reports reflected the institute’s 50th birthday year celebrations, including a diverse selection of memorable activities, events and meetings, enjoyed by all attending. A selection of cards and gifts received throughout the year were displayed with an impressive yearbook, compiled by Margaret Neil. President Judith Arthur retired from post. Liz Shaw was nominated and elected in her place. Kirkley WI usually meets on the first Wednesday of every month in the Oak Room, Kirkley Hall, at 7pm. However, the meeting on November 5 is to be held in Darras Hall United Reformed Church at 7.30pm.
