THE cleaning team at a Morpeth shopping centre is flushed with success after receiving another major accolade.

For the third year running, the toilets at Sanderson Arcade’s Austin House have been praised in the National Loo of the Year Awards.

And this time they achieved the Gold standard.

Not only are they regularly cleaned and checked, there are also fresh plants or flowers on display every day.

The awards aim to encourage the highest standards in all types of public toilets. Inspectors pay a secret visit to spend a penny and check the standard of all the entries across the country.

Sanderson Arcade Manager Medi Parry said: “It is important to us that we keep our standards high in all aspects of our customer service and we strive to keep that attention to detail in everything we do.

“We are very proud therefore to get this award for the third year running, which is really down to the cleaning team keeping up those standards day in and day out.”
