Brewer says cheers to Save Druridge

Not content with its own song and music video, the Save Druridge campaign now also has its own beer.

Michael Hegarty, from Morpeth, is the brewer at The Ship Inn at Low Newton-by-the-Sea.

When he heard about the Save Druridge campaign, he wanted to help, so he has created Save Druridge Bay beer, an appropriately sandy-coloured ale, from whose sales 10p per pint will be donated to the campaign.

Plus thanks to a partnership with Brewlab in Sunderland, the beer will be exclusively bottled and sold at the Driftwood Café in Cresswell.
