Bride trades in her old life

TRADERS will be in a celebratory mood at the next Morpeth Farmers’ Market as one of their number gets married nearby.

Dawn Watts, from Lynemouth’s Kenspeckle fudge and chocolate makers, will be tying the knot at Morpeth Town Hall on Saturday, just across the road from the Market Place where she can usually be found selling her tasty treats.

The market, which will run from 9am to 2.30pm, will offer all the usual produce, such as meat, fish, preserves, cheese and cakes, as well as wrought ironwork, new season wild trout and salmon from Ridley’s Fish and Game, bread baked in wood-fired kilns from the Great Northumberland Bread Company, and croissants and pastries from Castle Bakery.
