A new management team has been announced for a busy town centre shopping mall.

Filipa Conceicao has been promoted to Centre Manager at Morpeth’s award-winning Sanderson Arcade.

The 29-year-old joined the arcade last September as Assistant Centre Manager and has become a key member of the team.

She has worked on the first Heart of Morpeth Awards, as well as the annual Morpeth Food and Drink Festival.

Ms Conceicao takes on the position as the former Centre Manager Medi Parry has been promoted to a head office role at Dransfield Properties as Operations Director, where she will oversee the smooth running of the company’s shopping centres.

The new manager said: “I am delighted to be promoted to Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade.

“I have learnt a great deal under Medi since I joined the team. I am looking forward to working with other partners in the town to continue to grow footfall and expand the town’s busy diary of events.”

Ms Conceicao is joined by a new Assistant Centre Manager Lottie Thompson, who recently graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in festival and event management.

Operations Director Medi Parry said: “We are delighted to be announcing this new role for Filipa, which is a well-deserved promotion.

“I’d also like to welcome Lottie to the team and look forward to working with them both on some fantastic events in Morpeth during 2017, as well as delivering the excellent standard of customer service that the centre has a reputation for.”

The food and drink festival will be a two-day event.
