PET lover Anna Rainbow is going walkies to launch a new business venture.
The enterprising Whalton-based events manager has embarked on a new career with her Paw Prints dog walking service.
Mrs Rainbow is often out walking her own black labrador Bramble so decided to turn her regular strolls into a business.
She can offer group walks or one-to-one trails for dogs who prefer their own company, covering Whalton, Ponteland, Morpeth and the surrounding area.
“Dogs have always been a very big part of my life, hence setting this up. I think there is a gap in the market for it,” she said.
“I love dogs and love the outdoor lifestyle so it is perfect for me.
“People love their animals, but sometimes they just don’t have the time or ability to walk them because they have such busy lives. Nobody likes to leave their dog stuck indoors all day and it is always something at the back of your mind, especially if you have pups or older dogs.
“With a puppy you can’t leave it for more than a few hours so it is a really big consideration, while dogs when they get older might need two or three little walks more often.
“I walk my own dog every day so offering this service fits in with my lifestyle.”
Walking time will be a minimum of 45 minutes, either on a regular or occasional basis.
People will be offered a free meet-and-greet session to discuss their dog’s requirements and agree an individual pet plan.
She offers pet first aid, has been CRB checked and has full insurance.
