A NORTH East utility business is helping to save hundreds of lives in the developing world, thanks to generous customers.
Northumbrian Water has adopted WaterAid as its charity since 1981.
The scheme provides taps, toilets and hygiene education in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Central America.
The Northumbrian WaterAid Ball was held last month and raised £17,200 for the charity through table sales, a raffle and silent auction. The funds will help to save 1,146 lives.
