A piece of peace

A NEW business venture is bringing a touch of tranquillity to a Northumberland garden centre with an authentic Mongolian yurt.

Life coach Jayne Goldstone is opening the traditional Central Asian tent at Callerton Garden Centre as a venue for local groups and societies.

She has kitted out the wood-framed dwelling with relaxing amenities including a log burner, candles and scented oils.

Visitors sit in a circle on the floor of the yurt.

Ms Goldstone already runs sessions there during the evenings, including a free ‘peace hour’ for stressed-out commuters.

She said: “Everyone loves sitting around in a circle telling stories and sharing experiences.

“I’m blessed that my new business is in such a wonderful setting and I’m very excited to be able to offer people the chance to come to this beautiful corner of Northumberland and find their inner peace.”

People can take part in the peace hour at the garden centre every day between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
