Clothes shop marks a century of trading

A LONG-STANDING Morpeth shop is celebrating an anniversary as it bucks the recession.

Snows children’s clothing shop in Bridge Street has been trading in the town for almost 100 years.

And tomorrow its present owners Sarah McAllister and Michelle Craig will mark the tenth anniversary since taking it over.

There will be special offers throughout the day to thank customers for their support.

Ms McAllister said: “This shop has been in the town for nearly 100 years — it seems only fitting that we raise a glass to its success.

“We have so many customers who remember what the shop was like over the years.

“Now their children come in and buy outfits for their children so we really do cater for the generations.”

The shop has also recently set up an online Urban Urchins store.
