Duo splash the cash
A MORPETH investment expert has splashed his own cash along with a colleague to create a new brand for their business.
Richard Blackett and Kevin Walker were the driving force behind the growth of RMT Financial Management, which has more than £150million invested on behalf of clients based mainly in the North East.
Now they have committed some of their own money to complete a management buy-out and they recently launched the new Blackett Walker wealth management firm.
The same people will be working for the business, which will still provide detailed financial advice to a range of companies and individuals, but the duo believe this will help it to become even bigger.
Mr Blackett, who lives in Morpeth, said: “This will allow us to continue expanding the business and meet demand for our services beyond our existing client base.
“We have an excellent team of people supporting us and we believe that this change is a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved.”
