Teamwork spreads the county word

COUNTY visitor attractions and business have teamed up to showcase what Northumberland has to offer.

An Explore Northumberland consortium travelled to the Best of British and Ireland show in Birmingham to promote the area to tour operators, group travel guides, industry experts, trade press and suppliers.

The team, including Longhirst Hall Hotel and Heighley Gate Nursery and Garden Centre, spoke to visitors about the history, nature and beauty of the county.

The event was one of a number activities being planned by the partnership to actively promote the county following the demise of One North East.

Other members include Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Bamburgh Castle and Northern Secrets, and more attractions are welcome to join.
