Vote for your top shop

CLUED-UP customers are being asked to vote for the top of the shops at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade.

The centre has launched its own awards scheme to reward retailers and their staff for their hard work and commitment.

The awards cover the categories of Store Manager, Green Store, Customer Service Team, Shining Star, Community Engagement and Warm Welcome, with applicants invited to submit their own nominations for a panel of judges to consider.

However, the most prestigious accolade – Retailer of the Year – is voted by shoppers.

People may make their nomination based on great customer service, product knowledge or stock availability, but the choice is theirs to name their stand-out store.

All voters will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £50 of shopping.

Sanderson Arcade Manager Medi Parry said: “We have around 400 people working here and this is a great opportunity for some of those individuals and teams to be singled out for praise. It has, of course, been a challenging time for a lot of businesses so we want this event to be a real opportunity to reward and thank people for their hard work and dedication.

“There’s a great deal of interest already from everyone so the judges are going to have a tough job.”

The awards are sponsored by Design Two, Inside Morpeth, Thru Your Door Leaflet Delivery, WCRS, The Flagman, Metro Radio, Tolent and Eshott Hall.

The ceremony will be held at Barluga on Wednesday, September 19.

Voting for the retailer award is open until noon on Monday, September 17 at www.sandersonarcade.co.uk
