BUILDING society customers can book in for a check-up on their finances and fitness.
The Newcastle Building Society will be offering complimentary information to help people on the road to financial well-being.
And customers who book appointments to see one of its experts will also receive a pedometer to help with their physical fitness.
Morpeth Branch Manager Lisa Winn said: “At the start of the year many of us think about getting fit, but we’re keen to encourage people to combine this and be financially fit too.
“As an improvement in physical fitness can often lead to financial savings. For instance eating less, giving up smoking, walking more and taking the car out less can save money, which may mean you have the chance to actually save.
“As well as this, the start of the year is a great time to evaluate your finances and ask yourself, ‘am I making the most out of my savings, can I get a better mortgage deal out there’, so we’re offering people coming into our branches the chance to chat to one of our financial experts and in turn we’re offering a helping hand in their fitness drive too with the free pedometer.”
