ENTRIES are continuing to come in from contestants hoping to be crowned the Face of Rutherfords.
Rutherfords of Morpeth has teamed up with the Morpeth Herald to find a woman, aged 21 upwards, to represent the prestigious Bridge Street store and model in fashion shoots, appear in adverts and meet shoppers during special in-store events.
More and more women are vying to win the sought-after title.
But don’t worry if you haven’t yet sent in your photograph and 150 words on why you think you should become Face of Rutherfords as you have until September to enter.
Jane Rutherford, from the family-owned store, said: “We knew this was going to be a popular competition, and we are looking forward to receiving even more entries over the next few weeks.
“Everyone seems to be talking about the competition. There are so many lovely ladies from Morpeth and the surrounding area, I’m sure it’s going to be hard choosing the winner.”
Unlike most beauty contests, there is a unique twist as Rutherfords is not placing any upper age limit or size on the local girl who wants to become the Face of Rutherfords.
As well as being crowned the Face of Rutherfords, the winner will receive a £250 shopping voucher to spend in the department store and will model in a special photo-shoot to unveil Rutherfords’ autumn/winter fashion collection in the Morpeth Herald.
