BUYERS and sellers can make the most of another Open House Day, run by a Morpeth estate agent.
Strutt and Parker is hoping for a repeat of previous successful years in which dozens of properties on its books have opened up for informal viewing.
The national initiative, which includes the agent’s Morpeth office, offers registered buyers the chance to see as many houses as they like in one day and aims to make the viewing process more informal and fun.
Meanwhile, sellers benefit from increased advertising, promotion and the extra number of viewings.
Morpeth agent Samuel Gibson said: “Events like these help to create a buzz that really makes a difference, and judging by the past, guarantee results.
“People feel less pressure when viewing a property during Open House Day and this atmosphere has led to some amazing offers. Open House Day helps to bring all the right ingredients together, culminating in positive results.”
Last year 75 properties were open for the day, with more than 1,200 potential buyers going through the doors, and offers amounting to more than £45m were made.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 6.
