TWO heads are better than one for a Northumberland hotel as new management takes over.
Eshott Hall, north of Morpeth, has appointed not one, but two managers to run the 11-bedroom country house.
Annabel Garven, of Newcastle, and Laura Brydon, of Cornhill, will work side-by-side as Joint Managers, bringing their experience of the industry to the luxury venue.
Laura, 29, has a degree in Tourism Management from Edinburgh Napier University and worked at The Alnwick Garden as a Wedding Co-ordinator, before moving to Eshott Hall to take up a similar position. She then rose through the ranks to become Deputy Manager.
In her new role, she will be responsible for co-ordinating all of the weddings at the venue, as well as the food and beverage side of the business.
Annabel, 25, previously worked at Eshott’s sister hotel Doxford Hall, where she was Reception Manager.
She will concentrate on the accommodation and corporate conferencing side of operations.
She said: “This is a major step for my career and I am delighted to take on the challenge.
“In the short time since Eshott Hall opened its doors, it has grown from strength to strength. The restaurant gained AA Rosette status in early 2011 and we were host to the inaugural Northumberland Music Festival last autumn.”
Laura added: “Between Annabel and myself we create quite a dynamic duo. We both have strengths in different areas and have enough experience in the industry to really deliver in this role.”
“Overall, our aim is to provide exceptional service and a memorable experience for our guests.
“I am really looking forward to taking on the position and ensuring that Eshott Hall maintains and strengthens its sterling reputation.”
