YOUNG people in Northumberland are being offered the chance to explore the world of work as part of national Takeover Day.
The event aims to give youngsters the opportunity to work alongside adults for the day, finding out how business decisions are made and picking up skills, knowledge and inspiration.
In return, organisations taking part can demonstrate their commitment to young people and gain a fresh perspective on their activities.
Northumberland County Council will offer a number of placements in various roles across its services.
And it is also encouraging local businesses to get on board.
Council Executive Member for Children and Young People Lesley Rickerby said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved with their communities and experience the world of work.
“We are delighted to be supporting this initiative and we look forward to welcoming young people from across Northumberland into the county council.”
Takeover Day will be on Friday, November 11.
