Garden centre sprouts charity funds

Garden centre visitors in Northumberland can help to grow charity funds this month.

Heighley Gate Garden Centre, off the A697 near Morpeth, is donating ten per cent from the sale of all daffodils throughout March to Marie Curie to help provide nursing care for people with a terminal illness.

Daffodil pin badges are also available.

Wyevale, which owns Heighley Gate, hopes to raise £500,000 nationally for the charity in the next two years.
