A MORPETH-BASED vehicle equipment supplier is re-affirming its commitment to the independent garages at the heart of its business.
While serving a number of larger dealerships and becoming increasingly involved in public sector projects, Gott Technical Services has stepped up its efforts to help its smaller-sized customers in recent months.
James Pattinson was brought in late last year and part of his role is to support independent garage clients across the north of England in tailoring the right equipment solutions for their sites.
The specialist advisor recently oversaw the workshop upgrade of GK Jackson & Sons – located on the northern edge of Morpeth – which included installing a full MOT bay and two new vehicle lifts.
Since starting the job, a further 10 of these clients have chosen to work with Gott and the Coopies Lane firm is getting repeat business from many long-term customers.
Mr Pattinson said: “Garage operational efficiency, cost-effective equipment and the design and layout of a garage are now all vital elements to get right in order to maximise the productivity of an independent garage. We have engineers on hand to provide equipment servicing and inspections that keeps these customers fully-operating in the industry, 24-7.
“Our aim is to support our customers by helping to re-think the design of their workshop and make them aware of the full range of products that are available these days to help them improve efficiency and productivity.”
GK Jackson & Sons previously carried out MOTs but has had an extension to accommodate a dedicated service area, effectively allowing for two MOTs to be done at the same time.
Director Paul Jackson said: “As a small team, it’s essential that we operate to maximum capacity, so we’re really happy with James’ sharp recommendations and continued support during the process.”
