Hotel staff in Northumberland are checking out award success.

The North East Hotel Excellence Awards recognise outstanding service in the industry.

And a trio of Northumberland hotel staff have been rewarded.

Matfen Hall housekeeper Susan Brougham took the prize for Cleanliness, Chris Main, from MacDonald Linden Hall won the Service award, and Kerry Watson from Close House took the Leisure prize.

Bernard Bloodworth, Vice Chairman of the North East Hotels Association which organised the celebration, said: “Our industry plays a vast role in the economy and success of the North East and these awards are particularly important as they celebrate the people who make that happen.”

We are hugely fortunate in having some of the hospitality sector’s brightest and best performers across all departments, from sales to service, and this is our chance to thank them.
