AN enterprising Northumberland resident is hoping to clean up in the hygiene business.
Morpeth man David Ward has invested in a new franchise with Chemex, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of cleaning and hygiene products.
Mr Ward will use the latest technology in biological cleaning to help other local businesses to keep up with health and hygiene regulations.
He can offer expert advice and support, backed by more than 600 cleaning and hygiene products, from infection control for hospitals and care homes to powerful biological cleaning fluids for hotels and restaurants. The service will be tailor-made to suit each business and includes free consultancy and training.
Mr Ward said: “It’s an opportunity to help businesses by giving them peace of mind, whether it is entire hygiene systems for food preparation, large-scale laundry, or full cleaning and hygiene systems for residential nursing homes. We can help to take away the burden of the maze of ever-tightening regulations, allowing them to concentrate on running their businesses.
“Chemex has been working with businesses in the UK and abroad for more than 27 years, providing tried-and-tested hygiene solutions.”
The franchise is based in Morpeth, but covers the whole of Northumberland.
And Mr Ward, who previously spent half the year travelling the world for a business supplying parts to the international shipping industry, is looking forward to spending more time at home.
“I’m fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world and I’m looking forward to working within the local community and growing the business,” he said.
Chemex Managing Director Michael Graham said: “I’m sure David will be an asset to the local business community.”
